Cast Aluminum Anodes for Offshore
Product feature:
Salt seawater is a hostile environment for the submerged metal support on offshore platforms. XCTAT has the capability to offer a full line of large cast aluminum anodes to defend against this corrosion.
XCTAT-ALUM anodes produce an open circuit voltage -1.17- -1.25 V (according to Cu/CuSO4 reference electrode), and deliver a current output of 1186 amp.hrs/lb in salt water. The composition of the aluminum anodes contains nominal additions of indium, silicon, zinc, which help to avoid the build-up of protective film around the anode, especially in salty soil and water.
Applications
XCTAT aluminum anodes are specially designed for use on offshore drilling systerms. The anodes provide the best cathodic protection in salty water environments.
